Will Data Cable work with my setup? If your setup uses USB4 or any earlier USB spec and requires 20Gpbs or less, you can use Data Cable.
How fast can Data Cable transfer data? Data Cable supports transfer speeds of up to 20Gbps, making it a great option for moving large photo and video files, connecting external drives, and powering high-performance creative setups.
Can I use it to charge my devices? While Data Cable was designed as a data transfer tool, it will also support charging up to 240W.
What’s the difference between Data Cable and USB-C Cable? Both cables support up to 240W charging, so they’re equally capable of powering your devices. The difference comes down to data speed. Data Cable supports fast data transfer up to 20Gbps, while USB-C Cable is designed primarily for charging and supports USB 2.0 data speeds up to 480Mbps.
Will this come in any other length? No, Data Cable is only available in 0.3m and 1.0m. At USB4 speeds, longer cables are more susceptible to signal attenuation, which can impact reliability. The two lengths we currently offer let us guarantee full USB4 speeds without compromise.
Warranty
At Nomad, we offer a 2-year limited warranty on all our products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and workmanship issues but does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse or abuse of the product
- Modifications made to the product
If your Nomad product is found to be defective, we’ll exchange it for a brand-new replacement. However, we cannot guarantee that the exact style or product will be in stock at the time of your claim. If a replacement isn’t available, we’ll provide a store credit instead. This store credit never expires and can be used toward any product on our website.
Nomad is not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of our products. Additionally, our warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of electronic devices or other personal property.
As of January 2025, we updated our cable warranty period from 5 years to 2 years. If you own one of our older cables, don’t worry—we’ll still honor its original 5-year warranty. Not sure which warranty applies to your cable? Email us at [email protected], and our team will be happy to assist you.
